6 Running Place Around Klang Valley You Should Check Out This Weekend

Bored with your usual running spots? Time to step up the game and head to these running places that promised fresh air and amazing scenery.
1. Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM)
Offers more than 5 trails to choose from, depending on your activity but mostly on the plants and trees surrounding the trails. Trails also vary on the steepness and length. Runners should check out the Razak Walking trail, a 400m walking trail known the first disabled-friendly trail in Malaysia.
2. Taman Botani Negara
Formerly known as Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam, This 1258 hectares of the botanical garden offers paved road in the middle of the forest that is perfect for running and great for cycling too. Bike rentals are available for an affordable price.
3. Bukit Kiara Federal Park
Famously known as the Green Lung of Kuala Lumpur, visitors can expect to find few jungle trails for their workout. Gazetted as a Federal Park in 2016, the park is now well maintained and well equipped for both runners and family recreations.
4. Taman Rimba Kiara
If you are someone who loves the nature and would be excited to see rare species of fauna such as the wild Hornbill, this is the place you ought to choose for your run. Great spots for picnics and family recreation too.

A little bit far out from Klang River, but must be included due to its awesomeness. A well-planned city with great pavements just about every you go. Multiple lake parks are available for running activities. The best time to run would be in the evening as you can end your run along with beautiful sunset.
6. Bukit Gasing
Challenging uphill run, not for the faint heart. A popular choice for fitness junkie, this place is crowded especially on public holidays and weekends. Start your run early morning if you want to avoid the crowd. Bonus: There is a famous burger stall opens around here at night, worth to check it out.
